A good idea would be to use a Bahamut, and then either hit it with a ranged attack or cast a Bahamut on a character, which will heal them. If your Bahamut is hit by a ranged attack however, you should use a healing buff on whoever you're targeting so that they won't take as much damage. If you are going to do this though, remember to remove all of the healer's buffs before using the Bahamut, and always make sure your healers are ready to go first.

If neither of these options work, and the other characters on your team are pretty high damage types, you might want to consider using a solo healer. These are especially good at removing high health targets and can often provide a small buff on each character. For solo healers, it's always a good idea to always have one teammate heal them, so that you won't have to wait for a Bahamut to come out.

In groups, especially larger parties, it can be a good idea to add a solo healer with an offensive ability to ensure that no matter what happens, everyone has a little bit of hit point. This can allow everyone to survive longer and helps everyone stay together. If you get hit by someone who has a lot of hit points, you'll usually still be able to hit them back if you hit them first or just use a different ability to finish them off. If you don't have an offensive ad, you can usually count on your pet to keep everyone topped off.

The last thing to do when playing with a 3 headed hydra is to focus on controlling just one individual target. Having the ability to control just one character can be a huge help in a group, and it can keep you from having to worry about tanks, DPSers, or any other type of adds. Just focus on the one target, keep them alive, and keep attacking them with your pet until the objective is achieved. This can be a very effective tactic and can take most encounters easily.
