There are almost no parts of the sculpture that resemble actual ice; in fact it looks just like a snowman.

It was originally constructed in Wales, but as its maker is a specialist in radar ice sculptures I thought it was only fitting that this statue would look a little bit like a snowman.

One of the main differences between this piece and any other radar ice sculpture is that it doesn't have any moving parts, instead, all of the parts function by drawing the attention of onlookers. I've seen ice sculptures in the past that using white frosted plastic sheets, but there's nothing quite like having it's own icing, so you can see that there's an ice sculpture a good deal more artistic than the others. It certainly brings an entirely new element to the whole experience.

In addition to the HIFU Lift Machine snow sculpture, there is also a piece called the Bubble Torpedo Ice Sculpture. This piece is made out of different solid objects arranged in a bubble formation with bubbles bursting inside.

These snow sculptures were all created by David Gee who created these pieces while he was an art student. He was particularly interested in radar ice sculptures and wants to create more pieces that use radar technology.
